Kolor Fall/Winter 2026

Made in Japan

Selected Pieces

1. 26WCM-J06113 Jacket Black:

2. 26WCM-B04118 Shirt Saxe Blue:

3. 26WCL-N04308 Polo White:

4. 26WCM-T10206 Polo Green Stripe:

5. 26WCM-P06110 Pants Black:

6. 26WCM-P14121 Pants Indigo:

What Survived the Storm

Picture a coat worn every day on an island with no one else on it. Buttons done up out of order. Hems starting to fray. Salt has pulled the colour somewhere it was never dyed. It still blocks the wind. It still does its job.

Clothes like that are not beautiful because they are new. They are beautiful because they have been through something. That is where Kolor Fall/Winter 2026 begins.

Kolor is a Tokyo label, founded in 2004 by Junichi Abe, who spent years cutting patterns for Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe before starting his own. What set Kolor apart from its Japanese peers was how Abe spliced unrelated fabrics into one garment: suiting against nylon, knit against woven, and still ended up with something you could wear out of the house rather than admire from a seat.

In early 2025 Abe stepped down and Taro Horiuchi took over as Creative Director. Born in Tokyo, in England from the age of fifteen, top of his class at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2007, and already running his own label, th products. Fall/Winter 2026 is his second collection for the house, and he pointed it at Robert Eggers' The Lighthouse and Herman Melville's Moby-Dick: men at sea long enough to lose track of whether they are surviving or obsessing.

None of it arrives as costume. Suiting is dried out until it reads brittle. Shirts crease the way cloth creases in sea air. Knit edges are left to fray on their own. Buttons sit deliberately out of line, fastened in the dark. Horiuchi calls the rhythm collapse and resurgence.

Clothes that look like they are about to come apart, and don't. That is the centre of this collection.

The first drop at Onion is the wearable half of that story: black, indigo, saxe blue and a green stripe, all of it made in Japan.

Kolor has never made clothes that look tidy. A new designer has not changed that.

Clothes that have been through something read more clearly than clothes that haven't.
