Its boxy silhouette and zippered back vents echo the practical modifications made by 19th-century climbers who adapted their long skirts for movement and mobility. A structured belted waistband and tailored back pockets borrow from the iconic Gurkha pant — a nod to classic menswear interpreted through a distinctly feminine and functional lens.
Made for movement and made with intent, the Climbing Skirt stands at the intersection of history, utility, and empowerment — just like the women who inspired it. This rendition is made in a slubbed herringbone cotton, woven small batch in Japan.
