This fabric is a 100% organic cotton corduroy, woven in small runs on auto looms and dyed with care. Onto it, we bring hand embroidery by Ashmat Ali, an artisan from Kolkata who has now made Delhi his home. Using the dori technique, he works thread into line and relief with a steady hand shaped by over two decades of practice.
