Kompakt Record Bar หรือ KRB คือแบรนด์จากกรุงโซล ก่อตั้งโดย JM กราฟิกดีไซเนอร์และ DJ ที่ชื่อจริงว่า Jinmoo Choi ชื่อ "Kompakt" มาจากภาษาเยอรมัน แปลว่า "กะทัดรัด" หรือ "หนาแน่น" ตรงกับทุกสิ่งที่เขาสร้าง: เรียบแต่มีน้ำหนัก ไม่มีอะไรเกิน ทุกอย่างอยู่ในที่ที่ควรอยู่

เมื่อ KRB ขยายจากบาร์มาสู่เสื้อผ้า เจตนาไม่ได้เปลี่ยน เสื้อผ้าของ KRB คือ object ชิ้นหนึ่ง เหมือนที่แผ่นเสียงคือ object ของดนตรี: จับต้องได้ ใช้งานได้ทุกวัน และดีขึ้นเมื่อเวลาผ่านไป SS26 คือ collection ที่พูดถึงเรื่องนี้ตรงที่สุด คอตตอน 100%, ทรง relaxed, กราฟิกที่รู้จักตัวเอง

ปัจจุบัน KRB มี 4 สาขาในโซล และเพิ่งเปิดสาขาแรกนอกประเทศที่อิเคจิริ-โอฮาชิ โตเกียว เมื่อพฤษภาคม 2026 ร่วมกับ Beams ก้าวออกนอกโซลครั้งแรก แต่ยังคงเป็นแบรนด์ที่รู้ว่าตัวเองเริ่มจากอะไร

Objects Designed to Be Used

Jinmoo Choi opened a small bar in Apgujeong, Seoul in 2018, not to build a brand, but to build a room. A room where people could actually listen to music: on a proper sound system, at a price that didn't make you think twice, while a DJ played from their personal record collection.

That was the intention. And from that single intention, everything followed, including Spring/Summer 2026 of Kompakt Record Bar.

KRB is a Seoul-based brand founded by JM, a veteran graphic designer and DJ whose real name is Jinmoo Choi. "Kompakt" is German for "compact" or "dense": a word that describes exactly how he builds. Simple on the surface, substantial underneath, nothing out of place.

When KRB moved from bar to clothing, the intention didn't shift. Their garments function as objects in the same way a record does: tactile, made for daily use, built to improve with time. SS26 is the most direct expression of this: 100% cotton, relaxed silhouettes, graphics that know exactly what they are.

A good bar doesn't have to explain itself. Neither does KRB's Spring/Summer 2026.

Today KRB operates four locations in Seoul, and in May 2026 opened its first location outside Korea, in Tokyo's Ikejiri-Ohashi, developed in collaboration with Beams. A first step out of Seoul, but never out of itself.

That's the core of SS26: a brand that never forgot where it started.
