เสื้อเชิ้ตตัวนี้มีกระเป๋าอกหนึ่งใบ ปกธรรมดา ยาวแค่เอว ดูเป็นเชิ้ตทั่วไป จนกระทั่งถอดออกมาแล้วใส่กลับหัว มันกลายเป็นอีกตัวหนึ่ง มีรังดุมสองช่อง มีฮู้ดที่ซ่อนอยู่ในแถบปกมาตลอด

นี่ไม่ใช่ลูกเล่นที่แถมมา มันคือวิธีคิดทั้งหมดของ Beautiful People Fall/Winter 2026

Beautiful People เป็นแบรนด์โตเกียว Hidenori Kumakiri ตั้งบริษัทในปี 2004 แล้วเริ่มแบรนด์ในปี 2007 หลังจากเคยเป็น patterner ให้ Comme des Garçons Homme มาก่อน สิ่งที่ทำให้คนจำแบรนด์นี้ได้ตั้งแต่แรกคือ kids series การเอาแพทเทิร์นเสื้อผู้ใหญ่มาย่อเป็นไซซ์เด็ก แล้วปรากฏว่าผู้ใหญ่ก็ใส่ได้ เพราะสัดส่วนมันกลายเป็นอีกแบบหนึ่งไปแล้ว

Fall/Winter 2026 Kumakiri ตั้งชื่อคอนเซปท์ว่า Système D คำฝรั่งเศสที่หมายถึงการแก้ปัญหาด้วยของที่มีอยู่ตรงหน้า ข้อจำกัดไม่ใช่กำแพง แต่เป็นโจทย์ สิ่งที่ออกมาคือเสื้อผ้าที่ประกอบได้หลายแบบจากตัวเดียว และคำที่อยู่ในชื่อสินค้าอย่าง Double-End, Flip, Side-C, In-Between ไม่ใช่คำโฆษณา แต่เป็นชื่อวิธีประกอบ

Double-End แปลว่าเสื้อตัวนั้นมีสองปลาย กลับบนลงล่างแล้วได้อีกดีไซน์ อนอรักซิปหน้ากลายเป็นโค้ชแจ็คเก็ตกระดุมแป๊ก Flip คือกระเป๋าตลาดสองใบที่ถูกเย็บต่อกัน พับกลางได้เป็นใบเดียวที่มีปากสองด้าน หรือซ้อนกันเป็นสองชั้น ส่วนงานร่วมกับ Dickies เอา MODEL 780 Short Blouson กับ MODEL 3494 Coverall มาต่อกันคนละครึ่ง แล้วสลับบนล่างได้

ความรวยของเสื้อผ้าตัวหนึ่ง วัดจากจำนวนความเป็นไปได้ที่มันเก็บไว้ในตัว นั่นคือสิ่งที่ Kumakiri ฝากไว้ในซีซั่นนี้

ดรอปแรกที่ Onion เป็นฝั่งผู้หญิง มีตั้งแต่ Baracuta G9 ไซซ์เด็กที่ตัดสัดส่วนให้ผู้ใหญ่ใส่ ไปจนถึงกระเป๋า mesh ปักลายเขาวงกตที่ต้องซ้อนสองชั้นถึงจะเห็นทางออก

Turn It Upside Down and It Is a Different Shirt

This shirt has one chest pocket, a regular collar, a hem at the waist. Ordinary, until you take it off and put it back on upside down. Now it is a different shirt, with two buttonholes and a hood that was folded inside the collar stand the whole time.

That is not a gimmick tacked on. It is the whole thinking behind Beautiful People Fall/Winter 2026.

Beautiful People is a Tokyo label. Hidenori Kumakiri set up the company in 2004 and launched the brand in 2007, after years cutting patterns at Comme des Garçons Homme. What made people notice it early was the kids series: adult patterns shrunk to children's sizes, which adults wore anyway, because the proportions had turned into something else entirely.

For Fall/Winter 2026 Kumakiri named the concept Système D, the French idea of solving a problem with whatever is already in front of you. A limit is not a wall, it is the brief. What came out is clothing that assembles several ways from one piece, and the odd words in the product names, Double-End, Flip, Side-C, In-Between, are not marketing. They are the names of the methods.

Double-End means the garment has two ends: flip top to bottom and a second design appears, a zip-front anorak becoming a snap-front coach jacket. Flip is two market bags sewn into one, folded at the middle for a single bag with two openings, or stacked for a double layer. The Dickies collaboration takes a MODEL 780 short blouson and a MODEL 3494 coverall, splits both, joins them, and lets you choose which half sits on top.

How rich a garment is comes down to how many possibilities it holds. That is what Kumakiri left in this season.

The first drop at Onion is the women's side, from a Baracuta G9 cut on a kids pattern and proportioned for adults, to a mesh bag whose maze embroidery only resolves when two layers sit over each other.

A garment that can only be worn one way is a decision you already made at the till.
