The Unlikely denim jacket carefully selects details from iconic work jackets and trucker jackets of the 1940s–1970s and reinterprets them with Unlikely’s distinctive sensibility, creating a timeless masterpiece condensed into a single denim jacket.

The design fuses three eras:

• Left chest: patch pocket inspired by the 1st model

• Right chest: patch & flap pocket from the 2nd model

• Back: paneling from the 3rd model

This combination of details creates a mysterious, era-transcending design, as if traveling through time and blending the characteristics of each era into a uniquely Unlikely jacket.

The jacket features a strong vertical fade. To achieve irregular fading effects—long streaks, short streaks, and varied yarn textures—multiple types of yarn with different thicknesses and unevenness are blended in varying ratios and woven on a shuttle loom.

The color is a bluish pure tone (100% synthetic indigo), and the final processing is done at a dyeing factory in Kojima using a special technique that matures the indigo into a deep deadstock blue, as if it had been stored in a warehouse for years. Rather than heavy fading from prolonged wear, the finish creates a natural, subtle, and understated “nerdy” fade, as if gently worn and washed over time.
