Beautiful People is a Tokyo-based womenswear brand founded by Hidenori Kumakiri. The guiding question is simple: what if a garment has a strong enough idea built into it that the wearer does not need to think too hard? SS26 takes that question furthest with the “Double End” concept. The Double End Selvedge Blouson and the Double End Left Hand Twill Denim Blouson each reverse to reveal a completely different silhouette. One piece, two garments. Left-hand twill denim is woven in the opposite direction from standard denim, giving the fabric a different surface weight and a texture that breaks in differently over time.
The Finx Cotton Stripe Fan Shape Shirt is this season’s most distinctive cut. A wide body, no underarm seam, and a striped pattern constructed from multiple different stripe widths woven together. Finx cotton is enzyme-treated to soften the fiber without synthetic finishing agents. The High Twist Gabardine Trompeloeil Bowpants create an optical illusion of a curved bow leg through panel geometry rather than stretch.
