## "The last knitting factory"

There is one hand-frame knitwear factory left in this region. Worked by hand on an old frame, slower, more expensive, and almost nobody uses it any more. W'Menswear still sends work there.

Two of the knits in W'Menswear Fall/Winter 2026 came off those frames.

W'Menswear started in Bangkok in 2015, under Lauren Yates. The line it has used from day one is hard-hitting garments for hard-hitting women, and every collection begins by digging up the story of a woman who actually worked, then translating it into something wearable now. Almost all of it is made with Thai makers and mills: cloth woven on shuttle looms, natural indigo dyeing, and that last hand-frame factory.

FW26 follows the track. Through the 1920s and 30s women raced at Brooklands in England without any clothing built for it, and this season goes back for them. The Racing Check comes from the circuit's checkered flags, the Team Waffle carries a hand-crocheted number lifted from a racing jersey, and the Janet Despatch Pant takes its shape from early motorcycle trousers, with a double knee and a reinforced seat to back it up. The denim is still the brand's own Siamese Denim, woven on shuttle looms in Thailand and rope-dyed in natural French indigo.

> Clothes built from the stories of women who actually did the work. That's what W'Menswear has been collecting for ten years.

You don't have to be careful in these. They were designed from women who never were.
