## The Line Starts to Waver

Pick up the CBX1000 tee and your first guess is that it has passed through several owners. Fading in patches. Thin where a worn shirt goes thin. Front lettering cracked like it has been washed for forty years. A shirt like this usually turns up in a vintage store in Tokyo, not in a collection released this year.

It was released this year. Every year of wear on it was put there by a laser. That is the starting point of Seveskig Fall/Winter 2026 and the brand's first collaboration with Honda.

Seveskig is a Tokyo brand, started in 2012 by Takanori Nagano, a designer from Oita who first got interested in making things by building Gundam model kits as a kid. He finished at Tokyo Mode Gakuen, worked for large Japanese apparel companies including World, then left to build his own label. The name comes from Seven Seas Kings, his family's architectural firm. The clothes take the cultures Nagano actually grew up inside, motorcycles, vintage, anime, and lay them onto Japanese craft rather than printing them on top.

For Fall/Winter 2026 the brand set its theme as Halation. In imaging, halation is what happens when light bleeds until the edge of the thing you are looking at dissolves. Seveskig applies it to meaning instead: a state where the line between what is real and what was constructed begins to waver. The Honda project was announced in Paris in January 2026, runs to twelve pieces, and draws on three classic bikes, the CB400FOUR, the CB750F and the CBX1000. The reason it exists is simpler than the concept. Nagano owns six motorcycles and five of them are Honda.

The first lot at Onion covers three categories: the CBX1000 tees, the X-RAY PEACE leather gloves, and the jacquard socks. The same season also holds a tee made with the 1998 anime Serial Experiments Lain, a story about the blurring line between the physical world and the networked one. The opposite end of the shelf from a vintage motorcycle, saying the same thing.

> Age that was manufactured, and age that simply happened. When you can no longer tell them apart, that is the heart of this collection.

Nagano has said that if the project gets younger people interested in motorcycles, he would be satisfied. One T-shirt can actually do that.
