# Onion x Takeo Kikuchi > From Tokyo & From Bangkok

**By Onion** · 2026-10-14

## Two numbers behind the collar

If you had to put two brands on a single T-shirt, where would you start?

Takeo Kikuchi and Onion started with two numbers at the back of the neck: 1984 and 2011. That is the beginning of Onion x Takeo Kikuchi Fall/Winter 2026.

Takeo Kikuchi was born in Tokyo in 1939, started making made-to-order clothes in Ginza in the 1960s, and founded BIGI and Men's BIGI in the 1970s. He launched his own label in 1984, and it is still seen as a pioneer of Japanese designer menswear. 2011 is the year Onion began in Bangkok.

For FW26, both sides began with the easiest thing to wear: an oversized T-shirt. The cut and fabric come from Takeo Kikuchi, the neckline is Onion's signature, and graphics and embroidery carry both names. It feels playful, never too serious.

> One tee that tells two cities, two founding years, and the same sense of fun. That is the heart of this collection.

The collection comes in six colors. White and black are sold at both Takeo Kikuchi and Onion. The special colors are split: beige and navy at Takeo Kikuchi, green and dark grey only at Onion.

Two brands, two birth years, and one shirt that never asks you to pick a side.
